Position Overview:

The Toro Company is looking for a dedicated Technical Training & Support Specialist to enhance our operations. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with providing extensive technical training and assistance to both internal and external stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on creating and executing training initiatives that encompass the full spectrum of Toro equipment, ensuring that our service and sales teams, as well as dealer networks, are thoroughly equipped with the necessary knowledge to excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions for stakeholders, covering detailed content related to Toro products, services, and operational processes.
  • Design new instructional materials and assess existing training content for effectiveness.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technologies in the Learning and Development sector to enhance training delivery.
  • Provide expert diagnostic skills and troubleshooting support for major systems, including Tier 4 diesel engines, EFI gasoline systems, hybrid/alternative power sources, all-electric systems, hydrostatic transmissions, hydraulic systems, and sprayers.
  • Deliver technical support through various channels, including in-person, phone, video conferencing, and other formats within the scope of Toro's technical support services.
  • Offer guidance and occasionally perform mechanical tasks related to the repair, maintenance, and servicing of Toro equipment.
  • Participate in regional customer events as a technical support representative for Toro products.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Mobile Plant or a related field (mandatory).
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and Certificate III in Automotive Electrical or equivalent qualifications are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Absorb is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in public speaking or teaching in a classroom setting, with the ability to engage and maintain audience interest.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and strong computer skills.
  • Proven ability to diagnose faults in Toro equipment, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant industry.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics effectively.
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of various turf, golf course, and plant equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective business relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Possession of a valid Australian Motor Vehicle License.
  • Ability to obtain a valid Australian passport or visa for the United States.
