Project Manager Role

The role of the Project Controller is critical in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of large and complex projects. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining project control systems, including cost, schedule, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Develop and maintain project budgets, track project expenditures, identify variances, prepare cost reports and forecasts, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on budget.
  • Financial Management: Manage Workforce Plans, Timesheet Administration, Accounts Payable and Receivable process, Monthly Accruals, client Monthly Financial Reporting, and Project WBS elements.
  • Document Control: Ensure all project documents are organised and accessible, maintain version control, manage document distribution, and support project audits.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular project status reports, analyse project performance data, provide insights, and assist in the preparation of project change orders and claims.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather data and ensure project control accuracy, communicate project control issues and recommendations effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Stay up-to-date with best practices in project controls, identify opportunities for process improvement within the project controls function.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or certification in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in project accounting/finance business partner roles.
  • Proven experience with EAC's and revenue recognition in line with percent complete.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Well-developed communication and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

AGSVA security clearance (minimum Baseline) is required for this role.
