Governance Liaison Specialist at RMIT University

We are seeking a Governance Liaison Specialist to provide effective governance support to our Academic Board and its committees.
This role involves coordinating administrative services for academic governance matters, including facilitating communication and workflow, drafting and editing papers, minute taking, record keeping, and meeting coordination.
The successful candidate will also support the administration of selected university elections, maintain our Secretariat websites and publications, and provide advice on academic governance protocols and policies.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in coordinating meetings, minutes, and records for the Academic Board and its committees.
- Provide administrative support for election administration, website management, and publication development.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems.
- Develop and implement governance-related procedures and processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and high-quality outcomes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of governance systems and processes within the tertiary education sector.
- High-level written communication skills, including the ability to write minutes and prepare governance submissions.
- Experience in interpreting, applying, and explaining policies and procedures relating to academic governance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage sensitive information, and exercise appropriate judgment.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, including the ability to establish priorities and manage high-volume workflow.
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office 365 suite.

Estimated Salary Range$103,947 - $143,411 per annum, plus 17% superannuation and flexible working arrangements based at our Melbourne CBD campus and hybrid ways of working.
