Job Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a research administration and funding environment, providing efficient and effective post-award support for research grants and contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for project establishment, variations, reporting, and project close-out, ensuring that researchers and the University meet their obligations to external sponsors and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage research projects, including setting up agreements, capturing vital information, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide proactive and customer service-oriented support to the RMIT research community, working closely with the Revenue and Research Finance team to ensure effective and accurate financial management of research projects.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including researchers, academic staff, and industry partners.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in research administration and funding environments, preferably in the higher education sector.
  • Proven ability to comprehend and interpret agreements/contracts, capturing vital information.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Highly developed customer relations and interpersonal skills, with the ability to use judgment and provide advice.
