About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Duty Technician to join our Engineering Department at Hyatt Regency Brisbane. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional support to our operations departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to guest room maintenance requests, performing tasks such as IT troubleshooting, replacing lights and batteries, and minor repairs.
  • Assist the Engineering Department in daily operations, including liaising with contractors, technical troubleshooting, and performing minor maintenance tasks.
  • Provide technical support to the IT Manager and participate in developing, implementing, maintaining, and assessing best practices and solutions within the Engineering Department.
  • Undertake administrative and data entry tasks to support the efficient operation of the department.
Requirements
  • High level of grooming and personal presentation.
  • High level of both written and verbal communication.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, with availability for Saturdays and varying shifts up to 8pm finishes.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or study advantageous.
  • Good administrative skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Sound IT skills or ability to learn.
