About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team at Qantas. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing aircraft maintenance and rectification to a high standard, working with a range of specialist teams within our hangar environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform aircraft maintenance and rectification to a high standard, adhering to manufacturers' and company specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with specialist teams within our hangar environments to ensure excellent engineering standards.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and repair of aircraft, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Participate in quality control and assurance processes to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Aircraft maintenance technician trade qualification or equivalent, preferably under EASA or CASA regulations.
  • Relevant aircraft maintenance trade experience, minimum 6 years (mechanical, structures, or avionics).
  • Extensive aircraft servicing experience on various aircraft in a maintenance environment.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures.
  • Commitment to all safe working practices and service standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to being customer-focused with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required.
  • Highly developed attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated high ethical/behavioral standards and self-discipline.
  • Ability to work shift work.
  • Meet all Visa requirements, including English language proficiency, with the ability to meet the English language requirements set by the Department of Home Affairs.
