We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef to join our innovative team at a 91-bed facility in Hawthorn East, just 7 km from Melbourne's city centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will bring their strong cooking skills and passion for their profession to create a fine dining experience for residents. They will be responsible for delivering multi-course, elegant dishes and planning a variety of menus, showcasing their creative flair.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

Responsibilities:
  • Proven experience with volume cooking such as hotels, healthcare, and/or similar environments
  • Excellent knowledge of all facets of Food Services, including chill production and dining service planning
  • Ability to lead day-to-day production with the assistance of kitchenhands and ensure the smooth running of the kitchen
  • Understanding of and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow directives as per care plan
  • Understanding of aged care and resident rights and responsibilities
