About the Role

Cocoon SDA Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs.

Job Summary

  • Provide support to participants with high physical needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including manual handling and transfers.
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

About Cocoon SDA Care

Cocoon SDA Care provides specialist support staff to NDIS-registered providers, enabling individuals to live independently and make lifestyle choices that suit their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage participants' daily routines, including personal care and mobility assistance.
  • Monitor and report any changes or concerns regarding participants' health or well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised plans.
  • Engage in regular communication with family members and caregivers to ensure consistency in care delivery.

Requirements

  • Certificate III/IV, Diploma, or Degree in Individual Support Disability or equivalent qualification.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration training.
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening check.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
