Cocoon SDA Care is seeking highly skilled and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team in providing exceptional care to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support participants with high physical needs, including manual handling and bowel management.
  • Manage participants with challenging behaviors and provide a safe and supportive environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and empower participants to make choices about their lives.

Requirements

  • Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Individual Support or equivalent.
  • First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration training or willingness to obtain.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme NDIS Worker Screening check.
  • Working with Children Check.

Mental Health Training

  • Complex mental health training with diagnosis of depression, suicidal tendency, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and BDD.
