Prosthetist Orthotist Grade 3 Job Opportunity

This is a permanent full-time position within the orthotic and prosthetic department.

You will be responsible for coordinating and leading the prosthetic team to deliver high-quality prosthetic services, providing clinical supervision, and skill development of clinical and technical staff.

Foster a culture of excellence by facilitating the uptake and integration of digital processes into the prosthetic workstream, demonstrating initiative, and a can-do attitude.

Maximise the possibilities of the prosthetic service with strong lateral thinking and problem-solving skills.

Manage a small orthotic caseload commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver consistently excellent evidence-based prosthetic care comprising interim and definitive interventions for children and young adults with lower and upper limb deficiencies or differences.
  • Manage a complex and varied prosthetic clinical caseload.
  • Lead the ongoing development, review, and maintenance of administrative processes and improved communication mechanisms, including for NDIS service provision.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Mastery of Clinical Prosthetics & Orthotics or equivalent qualifications.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership to AOPA.
  • Clinical experience in managing transfemoral, knee, and ankle disarticulation amputees.
  • Leadership experience in developing team capacity and autonomy.
  • Ability to analyse issues from multiple perspectives and make sound conclusions.
