Clinical Orthotist Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Orthotist to provide high-quality clinical services to clients with neuromuscular conditions, foot, ankle and knee conditions, and fractures.

About the Position

This role involves providing clinical services to clients, communicating effectively with clinical teams, admin teams, healthcare providers, and clients. Key responsibilities include casting, selecting, evaluating, modifying, and fitting orthoses as required, reviewing clients at intervals to evaluate fit, function, quality, and safety of the orthosis, and making decisions to ensure appropriate care of clients.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics or equivalent qualification
  • Eligibility for membership to Australian Orthotic & Prosthetic Association
  • Understanding of health service and orthotic industry
  • Knowledge of orthotic devices and products
  • Strong client focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good decision-making skills
  • Able to work independently and be proactive
  • 2 years' experience in a related field
