Job Details

The position of Land Officer is open for applications.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking a career in land administration, supporting Queensland's land tenure processes and contributing to community development and business growth.

Candidates will be responsible for managing land tenure applications, providing excellent customer service, and building valuable experience in land administration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving, assessing, and progressing land tenure applications while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Reviewing new applications, capturing, and allocating them in departmental systems, and providing timely advice to clients and stakeholders.
  • Analysing information, exercising judgement, and making recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Building rapport with clients and colleagues to maintain a professional and consistent service.
  • Balancing administrative tasks with investigations under the Land Act 1994, working with senior officers and team leaders on projects.
  • Contributing to business improvements by identifying efficiencies and helping to maintain high service standards.
  • Collaborating with a five-person team, sharing knowledge, and supporting colleagues to meet priorities and deadlines.
  • Using departmental systems to capture data, track applications, and maintain accurate records.
