Ecological Specialist

This role focuses on the eradication of Yellow Crazy Ants in accordance with established management programs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Operate safely in diverse environments including remote wilderness, agricultural land, and urban areas to deliver effective solutions for ant infestations
  • Maintain proficiency in operating various machinery and equipment essential for ant management works
  • Develop strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Evaluate problems critically and implement effective solutions
  • Accurately document observations and activities

This position requires a valid Working with Children Queensland notice and compliance with relevant authorisation requirements, including Townsville City Council Authorised Persons and Local Government Worker Card. The candidate must also possess a current Manual C Class license and Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD).
