The Role

We are seeking experienced sales professionals who are wanting to have a long-term career at one of Australia's most recognisable and trusted brands. Successful applicants will present with the capability and drive to represent our business team as Business Development Managers. In this role, you will act as the conduit between the customer and the JB Hi-Fi group, effectively becoming the customer advocate to ensure optimal outcomes.

This is a multifaceted and fast-paced role, ideal for entrepreneurial individuals who are creative in their approach to new business development and innovative in solution selling. You will target some of the many thousands of customers that currently transact with our business, forging deeper relationships to identify and win large sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, develop, and execute a sales strategy to acquire large sales opportunities from within our existing customer base.
  • Initiate and maintain meaningful relationships with prospects and dormant customers to understand pain points and needs, to position JB Hi-Fi Business products and services accordingly.
  • Collaborate with and leverage internal stakeholders and support teams effectively, seeking out opportunities to utilize internal resources to meet customer needs and demands.
  • Manage the sales cycle from start to finish from initial engagement, to discovery, to solution.
  • Create strategies for revenue growth over time and retention activities to maintain customer spend.
  • Take ownership of a yearly revenue and gross profit target while meeting metrics on portfolio growth, monthly sales gross profit margins, and new customer acquisition targets.
  • Actively seek out and meet with customers weekly and manage quarterly business reviews with larger spend customers.
