Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workplace Health and Safety Officer to join our team at Programmed. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Develop Controls: Identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace and develop effective controls to mitigate them.
  • Support the Safety Committee: Participate in local committee meetings, ensure committee members understand their roles, and provide training and support as needed.
  • Investigate Incidents and Provide Solutions: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents, identify root causes, and provide recommendations for preventing future occurrences.
  • Maintain WHS Records and Reporting: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of WHS activities, incidents, and training.
  • Deliver WHS Training and Inductions: Provide comprehensive training and inductions to employees on WHS policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience in WHS: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a WHS role, with a strong understanding of safety principles, management systems, and legislation.
  • Qualifications: Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a strong commitment to safety and risk management.
