Junction Support Services is seeking a full-time Workplace Investigator/Occupational Health and Safety Officer to be based in a regional area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents and accidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Implement and monitor workplace health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
  • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards and promote a safe work environment.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to management and employees on occupational health and safety matters.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to foster a strong safety culture and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports on investigation findings and safety performance.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Investigations, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in conducting workplace investigations and implementing occupational health and safety programs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address workplace safety issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees at all levels.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant workplace health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
