Asset Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Planner to join our operations in the WA Pilbara region. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and managing executable work orders aligned with asset strategies, maintenance plans, and business objectives.
As part of the Maintenance Planning & Engineering team, you'll be responsible for creating and managing work orders, supporting shutdown planning for fixed plant equipment, optimising resources, reviewing asset condition, and monitoring performance metrics.
This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement, working collaboratively with multiple teams to drive reliability and performance of critical assets.
Responsibilities include:- Review and prioritise approved maintenance notifications and provide feedback to originators.
- Estimate labour, equipment downtime, and resource requirements for non-urgent tasks.
- Plan detailed work orders and coordinate specialist contractors when required.
- Analyse maintenance history and ensure accurate data updates for damage and failure causes.
- Initiate warranty and repairable/rotable processes for corrective maintenance activities.
- Review upcoming work against asset criticality, safety, statutory, and project requirements.
- Identify and resolve scope conflicts, adjusting downtime and schedules as necessary.
- Monitor planned vs actual costs and support budget forecasting.
