Family Support Specialist

Assist vulnerable families through therapeutic and supportive services.

About the Role
  • Provide individualized therapy, care coordination, and advocacy to families experiencing child protection concerns.
  • Engage with Aboriginal communities respectfully and in line with Closing the Gap commitments.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance family safety and well-being.
  • Support families in their communities and facilitate recovery from trauma through evidence-based practice.
About You
  • Strong interpersonal skills for supporting families.
  • Team player with enthusiasm for working with vulnerable populations who have experienced trauma.
  • Knowledge of child protection, domestic violence, and trauma, with a drive to deepen expertise.
  • Commitment to Closing the Gap and working with Aboriginal communities.
Requirements
  • Must hold a tertiary qualification and relevant experience in Social Work, Psychology, or Clinical Psychology, with eligibility or membership in the relevant professional association and/or general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Eligibility to drive in NSW and willingness and ability to travel for work purposes.
