About This Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that allows you to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable families.

You will provide therapy, care coordination, and advocacy to families experiencing child protection concerns. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to enhance child safety, strengthen parenting capacity, and support placement stability, restoration, and family preservation.

The service meets families in their own communities, providing an opportunity for collaboration and partnership with other services and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing individual and family therapy, including evidence-based models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Conducting assessments and developing case plans to address child protection concerns
  • Coordinating and advocating on behalf of clients to access relevant services and supports
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, police, and other community agencies

We are seeking applicants who have strong therapeutic skills, particularly in supporting families affected by trauma. The successful candidate will be committed to Closing the Gap and enjoy working with Aboriginal families and communities.
