About the RoleThis is a dynamic role that requires a caring and empathetic individual who can work effectively in a team environment. As a Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing personal care and daily living assistance to residents, including showering, toileting, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene and skin care.
- Personal Care & Daily Living: Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
- Mobility: Support mobility and safe transfers using hoists or walking aids.
- Mealtime & Nutrition Assistance: Aid residents during mealtimes and assist with feeding support.
- Health & Wellbeing: Support residents with chronic conditions and provide emotional presence to reduce isolation.
- Clinical Support: Assist with medication administration and observe vital signs.
- Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with residents and healthcare professionals.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) (Not Mandatory)
- Previous experience in Aged Care or Community Care
- Adaptability, empathy, and resourcefulness
- Cultural safety and inclusivity
- Ability to adapt to changing shifts if required
