Behaviour Support Practitioner Role

This comprehensive Behaviour Support Services role involves working collaboratively with individuals and their support networks to develop personalized Behaviour Support Plans.

Key aspects of this position include developing and implementing plans, respecting the human rights of participants, and promoting skill-building while reducing or eliminating restrictive practices.

  • Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans in collaboration with participants and their support networks.
  • Maintain a participant-centred approach that prioritizes respect for human rights.
  • Promote skill development and reduction or elimination of restrictive practices.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong understanding of psychology principles.
  • Training in neuro-psychology is highly desirable.
  • At least 3 years of experience in NDIS Behaviour Support is essential.
  • A valid NDIS Workers Screening Check is mandatory.
  • A valid Driver's Licence and third-party insurance are required.
  • A reliable vehicle is necessary for travel between sites.
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance is a must-have.
  • Completion of the NDIS module is highly recommended.
  • Established connections with service providers and support teams would be advantageous.
