Job Role:
A Behaviour Support Practitioner conducts assessments, writes behavioural support plans and programmes, and assists with the implementation of plans and supervision of other practitioners.
The role involves providing direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions, supporting and training employees on clinical techniques, and undertaking Clinical Supervision of core Behaviour Support Practitioners.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Developing Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
- Providing direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
- Supporting and training employees on clinical techniques
- Undertaking Clinical Supervision of core Behaviour Support Practitioners
- Assisting the Regional Clinical Manager as required
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree and/or post graduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a Behaviour Support worker
- High level oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated and effective time management skills
- Current NDIS Screening and Working with Children Checks and an NDIS Practitioner ID
