A Guest Service Agent is responsible for providing a high level of service to hotel guests, ensuring their stay is enjoyable and memorable. They must be able to anticipate and meet guest needs, provide warm and friendly greetings, and communicate effectively with various departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proactive in resolving guest issues, and maintain a clean and safe working environment. They will also be knowledgeable about local area information, services available at the hotel, and special events taking place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Anticipate and attend to guest needs immediately.
- Provide a warm and friendly greeting to hotel guests as they enter and depart.
- Process daily guest transactions and accounts accurately.
- Communicate guest special requests to relevant departments and follow up on their fulfillment.
- Work with Housekeeping, Reservations, and Maintenance departments to prepare rooms for arriving guests.
- Be knowledgeable about current room rates and packages available at the hotel.
- Book, update, amend, and file reservations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve job performance.
- Ensure protection and maintenance of operating equipment.
- Complete assigned opening and closing duties.
