Rescue Crew Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Rescue Crew Officer to join our Offshore Aviation team on a full-time touring basis, supporting helicopter operations nationwide.

The role involves managing the aircraft's rear cabin safely and efficiently during flying operations, under the supervision of the aircraft captain.

This technical position requires proficiency in Search and Rescue, Emergency Medical, Rappelling, Sling Loading, Passenger Transport, and Winching Operations.

The work schedule may include day and night operations, year-round, with ongoing training to maintain skills and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate rescue equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct pre-flight checks of SAR, sling load, and winch equipment.
  • Provide information concerning aircraft safety.
  • Maintain rescue and sling load equipment in a serviceable condition.
  • Assist the Aircrew Officer in managing the rear cabin during flying operations.
  • Render first aid when necessary.
  • Meet all Operational Standards.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

Essential requirements:

  • Current Class II Medical Certificate
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to pass and maintain the company fitness test

Applicants must be Australian citizens and able to hold and maintain necessary security clearances.

Desirable requirements:

  • Advanced Resuscitation Certificate
  • TBOSIET/HUET Qualification
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Emergency Medical Services/SAR environment
  • Bronze Medallion
