Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Specialist
Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in EHS management and experience working on commercial construction projects.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement EHS Policies: Develop, implement, and monitor environmental health and safety policies and procedures on-site.
- Site Inspections and Risk Assessments: Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
- Safety Protocols Management: Manage safety protocols across different phases of construction, from project initiation through to completion.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance site safety.
- Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety (Degree, Diploma or Cert 4)
- Demonstrated ability to manage environmental health and safety practices across a project from start to finish
- Experience dealing with multiple subcontractors and coordinating safety efforts across various trades (electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Valid Driver's Licence and First Aid Certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with site personnel and subcontractors
- Working at Heights and White Card - Essential
- Tilt-up panel construction experience – Advantageous
