Production Operator Job Description

As a Production Operator, your primary objective is to execute manufacturing activities efficiently and effectively to ensure the production of high-quality products. You will work with purpose-built equipment and follow established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) protocols to produce In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) products.


The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Following approved manufacturing and testing instructions to produce IVD products.
  • Operating equipment to dispense and package finished goods.
  • Performing large- and small-scale formulation and filtration of solutions and gels.
  • Accurately recording material movement using SAP R3.
  • Carrying out in-process quality control checks and collecting QC samples.
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic production environment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • FOLLOWING Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies and GMP principles at all times.
  • Collaborating with Production Supervisors and Engineers on process improvement and validation initiatives.
  • Supporting document maintenance and providing valid and reliable data.
  • Contributing to safety initiatives by reporting hazards and participating in drills.
