**About the role**
As Quality Controller you will be accountable for the implementation of the Quality & Food Safety Management System at our Baroda site in Braeside.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Quality Controller is responsible for managing customer complaints and the NCR process, including documentation, root cause analysis and customer feedback. The position is also responsible for day-to-day quality control and verifications.
**Day to day this role will see you**:

- Maintaining quality standards, specifications, and process control plans to facilitate the manufacture of packaging that meets customer expectations.
- Completing daily check sheets, and ensuring quality control and verifications are completed each shift
- Ensuring Quality assurance procedures are implemented throughout the process and audit for compliance
- Maintaining the program for timely and accurate inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices
- Ensuring all relevant staff associated with manufacturing are trained in key quality activities and processes
- Directing quality inputs for all related new product development at site
- Supporting operations with QC/QA data analytics and identify improvement opportunities
- Leading external audits (customer and certification) and ensuring successful outcomes for the business
- Participating in promoting improvements to safety systems
- Participating in regular meetings on Safety and Quality

**About you**
- To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Science, Manufacturing or Engineering preferred.
- Internal audit qualification preferred.
- HACCP/ Food Safety qualification desirable.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quality Controller in a manufacturing/plastics environment
- Experience managing sites certified to at least one of the following standards. ISO9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, CODEX HACCP
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines.
- Key Customer relationship management
- Data analysis and report writing
- Strong problem-solving capability
- Personal drive and results-orientation.
- Ability to engage and influence others
