Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our highly experienced and culturally diverse teams across the buildings and infrastructure sectors.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, cost management, and construction management, with experience in master-planning and feasibility budgets, cost checking of developing designs, value engineering, tender evaluations, and contract negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the preparation of cost plans, estimates, and valuations for construction projects
  • Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on time
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and main contractors to ensure effective communication and project delivery
  • Identify and facilitate new business opportunities and develop relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Provide expert advice on cost management, quantity surveying, and construction management to clients and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or construction management
  • Full Australian working rights and current location in Australia
  • RICS/AIQS accreditation highly regarded
  • Proficient in the use of Cost X and ability to produce top-down and bottom-up cost plans
  • Strong understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception to completion and post-project review
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and control multiple projects/client commissions
