Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with a focus on major infrastructure projects. The role will involve working closely with clients, architects, and main contractors to deliver high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take a lead role in liaising with clients, architects, and main contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify and facilitate new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue.
  • Develop and implement cost management strategies to optimize project outcomes.
  • Conduct cost checking and value engineering to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts to ensure fair and equitable outcomes for clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to drive project success.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Full Australian working rights and current location in Australia.
  • RICS/AIQS accreditation highly regarded.
  • Proficient in the use of Cost X and ability to produce top-down and bottom-up cost plans.
  • Strong understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception to completion and post-project review.
  • Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a team and control multiple projects/client commissions.
