Key Responsibilities- Lead the Development of Religious Education Programs
Design and implement comprehensive Religious Education programs that align with the Catholic faith and the evangelizing mission of Catholic schools.
Build Capacity and Support ColleaguesProvide pedagogical leadership and support to teachers in developing, implementing, and evaluating classroom religion teaching and learning programs.
Embed Catholic Perspectives Across All Subject AreasCollaborate with teachers to integrate Catholic perspectives and values into all subject areas, promoting a holistic and faith-based approach to education.
Lead Faith Formation and Prayer InitiativesDevelop and facilitate Christ-centered faith formation, prayer, and liturgical experiences for staff, students, and parents, fostering a culture of faith and learning.
Collaborate with the School Leadership TeamWork collaboratively with the School Leadership Team to support the wellbeing and growth of all staff and students, promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
Qualifications and Requirements- Qualifications
A qualified Teacher with a minimum of five years' experience, holding relevant certifications and registrations, including Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and Working with Children's Check (WWCC) registrations.
Accreditation and RegistrationTeaching Quality Institute (TQI) accreditation and NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation, as well as completion of Accreditation E – Teach Religious Education in a Catholic school in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.
Selection CriteriaAble to articulate the aims of Catholic education and the evangelizing mission of Catholic schools, demonstrate contemporary pedagogy, and lead change to improve student outcomes in Religious Education.
