Job Title:

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused professional to fill the role of Neighbourhood Centres Operations Support Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing administrative and business support to ensure effective and efficient daily operations of our Neighbourhood Centres.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality customer service to members of the community, including responding to enquiries, resolving issues and providing information about Centre programs and services.
  • Support the development and implementation of policies, practices and procedures relevant to the role.
  • Prepare and manage rosters for Centre staff and volunteers, ensuring adequate coverage and meeting operational requirements.
  • Monitor leave calendars and allocate backfill hours, ensuring minimum disruption to Centre operations.
  • Assist in the oversight of the physical condition and security of Centre facilities, ensuring regular maintenance is completed.
  • Support systems improvement across Neighbourhood Centres, identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the successful operation of the Centre.

Requirements:

  • Australian residency.
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of Local Government roles and functions.
  • Efficient and effective customer service and engagement skills.
  • Sound organisational and time management skills, with the ability to be flexible.
  • High level of proficiency in information technology, including online portals, online training platforms and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Local Government.
  • Relevant experience in Community Centre/Neighbourhood Centre operations and related customer service.
  • Working knowledge of statute and regulations to Work Health Safety, public buildings and venue hire spaces.
