Job Summary

This role involves supporting individuals with mental health needs and psychosocial disabilities in a purpose-built supported living community.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable populations, implementing behavior support and trauma-informed strategies, and managing complex needs.

They will also possess strong communication, de-escalation, and boundary setting skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with clinicians, case workers, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support participants with daily living routines, including personal care and medication administration (for nurses)
  • Implement behavior support and trauma-informed strategies to promote participant well-being
  • Manage complex needs, including behaviors of concern, forensic backgrounds, and dual diagnosis
  • Collaborate with clinicians, case workers, and families to provide holistic support
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in mental health, psychosocial support, disability, aged care, or community health
  • Minimum Cert III/IV in Mental Health, Disability, Community Services, or Nursing qualification (preferred)
  • Experience with trauma-informed care, complex behaviors, or high-intensity support
  • Strong communication, de-escalation, and boundary setting skills
