About this opportunity

Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to take on the role of Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our functions, including programs, financial management, staffing, performance, and strategy.

The successful candidate will work in partnership with the President and Executive Committee members to ensure that our organisation develops and implements programs and membership benefits that support the Executive Committee's vision for the organisation and are consistent with its strategic plans, priorities, and initiatives.

We are looking for an individual who can lead by example, inspiring direction and purpose and building an engaged, valued, supported and productive workforce. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading change-focused strategic and business planning processes, as well as experience engaging with governments and organisations to influence policy and practice.

The CEO will also be responsible for managing staff performance, knowledge and awareness of eating disorders, the impact they have, and the changes and forces that influence the eating disorder workforce. This includes excellent communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an understanding of what it means to communicate safely and responsibly when talking about mental health, eating disorders and suicide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of our functions, including programs, financial management, staffing, performance, and strategy

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, management, finance, strategy or similar relevant areas
  • Proven track record in a senior leadership-related field such as health, non-profit organisations, professional associations, or professional education
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change-focused strategic and business planning processes
  • Experience engaging with governments and organisations to influence policy and practice
