About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in eating disorders. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will work closely with Professor Sarah Maguire and her team to advance our understanding of this critical issue.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to design and execute high-quality research projects. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and executing research projects in eating disorders, including quantitative and qualitative studies
  • Providing leadership within the research team and contributing to the development of research collaborations
  • Developing and writing successful grant applications to secure funding for research and translation programs
  • Supervising postgraduate research students, volunteers, and projects
  • Maintaining accurate records and monitoring grants expenditure, governance, and ethics

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A PhD in a relevant area, such as mental health or a related field
  • Strong experience in research in eating disorders, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Binge Eating Disorder
  • Demonstrated expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods and analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
