Strategic Sourcing Manager Job Description

This role involves establishing relationships that maximize the value between us and our providers, while delivering best-in-class procurement services.

  • You will support CTO leadership teams and ExecOps by identifying strategic sourcing opportunities and leading transformational projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, obtain agreement, and lead transformational sourcing projects to maximize value.
  2. Personally lead projects as a liaison between departments, Legal, Finance, and other partners in the strategic sourcing process.
  3. Establish relationships across teams to ensure active participation in supplier matters.
  4. Provide rigorous analysis of spend data and industry dynamics to launch sourcing projects.
  5. Identify process improvements to increase efficiencies and maximize spend opportunity.
  6. Contribute to implementation and change management of process improvement projects.
  7. Mentor partners on procurement practices.
  8. Lead the planning and launch of RFIs and RFPs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of strategic sourcing experience in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in sourcing, negotiating, and delivery of complex contracts, particularly in technology-related purchases.
  • Ability to understand business cases for successful sourcing and vendor relationships.
  • Experienced negotiation skills in financial and business matters.
  • Ability to present technical issues and recommendations in various formats.
  • Teamwork-oriented individual with global work experience.
  • Expertise across the full lifecycle of strategic sourcing activities.
  • Knowledge of legal and technology-related contract terms and conditions.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies and tools.
