Job Title: Aerospace Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Aerospace Maintenance Specialist. As part of the C-17 Australian Sustainment Services Contract, you will play a critical role in supporting the Royal Australian Air Force's (RAAF) 36 Squadron C-17A Globemaster fleet.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing maintenance, repairs, and calibration of Aircraft Ground Support Equipment and Test & Support Equipment as per all policies. This includes performing 240V electrical integrity testing (Test & Tag) on equipment and maintaining up-to-date registers.

Additional responsibilities include inspecting and testing torque wrenches, lifting equipment, and working at heights equipment, as well as managing hazardous waste in compliance with policies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a small team. You must also be physically fit and demonstrate a commitment to Quality Assurance procedures.

Requirements:
  • Be an Australian citizen
  • Meet security requirements of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Hold a C class driver's license
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in Aircraft maintenance
  • Previous mechanical experience
  • Hold a High-Risk Work License for elevated work platforms and forklift

Security Clearance: The successful candidate will be required to undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Negative Vetting One) sponsored by the employer.
