Proudly a Gold Member of the Australia Defence Force Reserves and Employer Support Program and promote the recruitment of Reservists and Veterans into all roles.What we OfferWe proudly support ADF Reserves with paid Defence Reservist Leave.A comprehensive physical, mental and financial Wellbeing ProgramFlexible Work ArrangementsRegular workplace events and functionsGreat workplace facilitiesThe RoleWe are looking for highly motivated Engine Maintenance Technicians to support the most exciting engine platforms in the defence sector, – the legendary F/A 18 Super Hornet's F414 engine, the F135 engine that powers the most advanced fifth-generation fighter in the world – the F35 Lightning II, with specific responsibility for the M1 Abrams AGT1500 engineYour duties include:Performing heavy engine maintenance activities including strip, detailed inspection, and assemblyEnsuring all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with approved publications, technical data, and work instructionsMaintaining documentation of work in progressPerforming maintenance supervisory/inspection duties as specified by aviation regulatorsContinually looking for way to improve in efficiency and effectivenessTaking all reasonable steps to ensure own safety and the safety of othersThe Ideal Candidate:Certificate III or IV mechanical trade qualificationDemonstrable knowledge of strip, detailed inspection and assembly of the gas turbine engineDemonstrable knowledge and experience working within airworthiness rules and regulatory requirementsThe ability to maintain documentation of work in progress and composition of maintenance worksheetsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals to meet regulatory requirementsA passion and drive to deliver to keep their customers flyingIf this is you, then please submit your application today
