The Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team is seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance Professional to support technical roles for the Wedgetail In Service Support team.
The Program is located at the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) base Amberley, QLD.
Your RoleAs a supporting Aircraft Aerospace Worker within the Wedgetail Maintenance team, you will be required to integrate and assist licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer personnel to carry out all day-to-day maintenance/modification activities including:
- Aircraft induction and tear down for maintenance/modification
- Assist in aircraft next generation upgrades
- Assist in Aircraft inspections, standard servicing's and rectifications
- Administer the use of all ground support equipment i.e. Aircraft hydraulic rigs, Cabin air-conditioning rigs, Towing tractors etc.
- Administer the use of technical instructions/data and Aircraft Maintenance Documentation
- Assist in all aircraft testing post maintenance/modifications
- Assist in aircraft Rebuild and delivery to the Commonwealth of Australia customer
- Report to the assigned Maintenance Operations Manager
- Work closely within a team environment
Aerospace Workers (AW) employed in this role will be at the AW2 or AW3 level, depending on the time taken to meet task authorisation requirements, level of experience in the Aviation Industry and any Aviation qualifications/training held.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen
- A high level of verbal and written communication skills
- Possess an Australian Negative Vet 1 Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical), including theory only completed:
- Certificate II in Aircraft Line Maintenance
