Maintenance Supervisor Role

About the Opportunity

This position offers a unique chance to lead one of our mobile maintenance teams in an open cut coal mine. The role involves day-to-day operation of the mine, working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure maintenance is executed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve high site safety standards through proactive leadership.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders for optimal outcomes.
  • Provide clear direction, uphold expectations, review performance, and offer constructive feedback to team members.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities for reporting purposes.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for procurement needs.
  • Identify and implement strategies for continual improvement in safety and technical matters.
  • Report incidents, hazards, near-misses, and non-conformances, participating in incident investigations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Mechanical or electrical trade certificate or tertiary qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Previous HME maintenance supervisory experience in an open cut mining environment.
  • Heavy plant maintenance expertise: Draglines, Excavators, Haul Trucks, CAT Ancillary equipment, and Drills.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining related legislation.
  • Ability to make risk-based decisions using data.
  • Strong frontline leadership skills with effective written and verbal communication.
  • Experience with a maintenance management system (preferably Pulse).
  • Completed or willingness to complete Effective supervisor training.
