Job Description

The Accounting Manager position is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting function, overseeing a small team.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and delivering accurate weekly, fortnightly, and monthly financial reports.
  • Managing month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Overseeing cash flow management, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
  • Coordinating and supporting internal and external audit processes to ensure full compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Ensuring tax obligations are met, including BAS, PAYG, and payroll tax reporting.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to provide financial insights and analysis for informed decision-making.
  • Developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.
Required Skills and Qualifications

About You:

  • Qualifications: CPA/CA-qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring finance staff
  • In-depth understanding of Australian accounting standards and familiarity with New Zealand reporting requirements
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical thinking
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
