This is a pivotal position in our Commercial team, where you will play a key role in driving end-to-end efficiency and cost savings across our Own Brand product lines.
Your primary responsibility will be to execute sourcing and procurement plans, supporting the growth of our Own Brand volume and market share. You will work closely with stakeholders to develop strategic sourcing aligned to our Simply and Value Strategy, improving merchandise profit and loss (P&L) outcomes.
You will also be responsible for delivering commercial outcomes that meet our Better Buying EBIT targets. This includes implementing a consistent cost of goods sold (COGS) framework to improve profitability without compromising quality or availability.
Key tasks will include leveraging data and cost inputs to prioritize COGS initiatives, integrating critical path management with agile execution. You will actively engage with stakeholders on category planning, supplier strategies, and enterprise procurement priorities.
About You and Your SkillsTo succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in strategic procurement, including experience in sourcing, value optimization, and category planning processes. You should also have excellent business acumen, negotiation skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
A high degree of influencing and entrepreneurial mindset are essential to challenge traditional procurement approaches. Strong presentation and facilitation skills are also required to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
