Central Queensland Radiology (CQR) is an expanding and forward-thinking radiology organization committed to excellence in its services throughout Queensland, from Northern Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast and Central Queensland Region. CQR is part of Integral Diagnostics, one of Australia’s largest radiology providers.

Overview of the Role

CQR is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to become an integral part of our bustling front desk team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients scheduling and attending appointments at our comprehensive facilities, which offer a range of services including X-ray, Ultrasound, and MRI.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Be the first point of contact for patients, welcoming them at the front desk.
  2. Handle cash transactions and manage patient accounts, including Medicare and health fund processing.
  3. Participate in staff meetings and engage in training sessions to enhance skills.
  4. Adhere to established procedures, policies, and regulations that affect the role and the Radiology Department, including workplace health and safety guidelines.
  5. Communicate effectively with referrers, physicians, and patients regarding the delivery of medical results.
Candidate Profile
  1. Experience in medical, dental, allied health care, hospital, or radiology front desk roles is highly valued.
  2. Ability to comprehend medical terminology.
  3. Familiarity with booking systems and proficient computer skills.
  4. Exemplary presentation and strong communication skills, with a focus on patient care.
  5. Demonstrated integrity, respect, and professionalism.

This position offers full-time hours, with shifts scheduled between 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM from Monday to Thursday and 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM on Fridays. Weekend shifts may be required on occasion.
