Key Role Summary: We seek a seasoned Corporate Engagement Specialist to lead our events and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Develop an events calendar featuring corporate networking and peer-to-peer fundraising events.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to establish event budgets and manage related activities.
  • Identify and secure sponsors for events, ensuring timely delivery of contract commitments.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and develop customized engagement plans to drive growth.
  • Oversee volunteer management, including coordination with Future Leaders and event committees.
  • Manage all events from concept through to execution, encompassing tasks such as creating run sheets and speech notes, briefing speakers, designing visuals, coordinating production crews, identifying and securing sponsors, managing suppliers and contractors, developing risk management strategies, overseeing event administration duties, securing volunteers, and compiling post-event reports.
  • Monitor donor engagement and portfolio development across various events and activities.
  • Design innovative approaches to engage donors and foster fundraising opportunities.
  • Maintain close collaboration with various committees to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Contribute to marketing and communications strategies for events and campaigns in conjunction with the marketing team.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Self-directed work ethic and ability to demonstrate initiative.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end event management from conception to execution.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Able to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Desirable: prior experience in securing sponsorships.
  • Ability to work from home in Melbourne, except when required to be on-site for events.
  • Confidentiality is essential.
