Environmental Compliance Officer

This role is pivotal in enforcing environmental regulations and fostering community awareness. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring adherence to the Environment Protection Act 2017 and other relevant legislation.
- Providing education and support to the community on environmental laws and responsible waste disposal practices.
- Conducting thorough investigations, compiling evidence, preparing legal documentation, and representing the council in court when necessary.
- Maintaining effective relationships with internal teams, community groups, businesses, and external agencies to promote litter management initiatives.
To excel in this position, you will require:
- Experience in local government enforcement, preferably with knowledge of the Environment Protection Act.
- Strong investigation and problem-solving skills, accompanied by attention to detail.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks.
