
Disaster Risk Specialist

This role is responsible for developing and implementing emergency preparedness activities to mitigate safety risks and meet regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior management to create Disaster Recovery Plans and Site Incident Management Plans.
- Work closely with nominated safety professionals to implement emergency preparedness plans and programs.
- Provide guidance and support to business unit managers on the development and implementation of emergency preparedness training and exercises.
- Coordinate the training of incident and emergency management teams.
- Ensure safety responsibilities are executed in accordance with the organisation's safety management system requirements.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in an emergency preparedness related field or equivalent relevant experience.
- Expertise in risk management with extensive experience and proven capabilities to manage risk/safety across a large organisation.
- An understanding of emergency/incident management arrangements in NSW.
