The Student Accessibility and Inclusion Specialist is responsible for providing tailored support to students with disabilities or medical conditions at a university, enabling them to navigate their studies and succeed in higher education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalized adjustments and cohort-based interventions to foster academic success and inclusive practices.
  • Collaborate with faculties and professional units to provide equitable support to students.
  • Evaluate barriers and recommend adjustments to ensure equal access to education.
  • Provide specialist support and apply relevant legislation to promote student inclusion.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., occupational therapy, education, psychology).
  • At least four years of experience or equivalent, including knowledge of challenges faced by students with disabilities.
  • Experience assessing barriers, recommending adjustments, and providing specialist support.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in assistive technology and commitment to culturally respectful and inclusive practices.
