About the Role

Our organization seeks a strategic Business Partner to work closely with Operational Leaders and develop a deep understanding of their Human Capital challenges.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with relevant Human Resources expertise, particularly in Industrial Relations and Employee Relations. The ideal candidate will have Return to Work certification, previous experience in a similar role or environment, preferably in Hospitality, Retail, or FMCG, and sound stakeholder management capability, relationship building skills, and a solid understanding of Australian employment legislation trends and practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing business risk through Employee Relations advice, grievance resolution, and performance counselling. They will also partner with Leaders to identify talent, up-skill leadership capability, and develop future Leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of People & Culture challenges with Operational Leaders.
  • Identify and manage business risk through Employee Relations advice, grievance resolution, and performance counselling.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to Leaders, ensuring people and business initiatives are aligned.
  • Work with Leaders to identify talent, up-skill leadership capability, and develop future Leaders.
  • Lead the Altitude program for Retail team members, including mid-year and year-end performance reviews.
Requirements
  • Relevant Human Resources tertiary qualifications.
  • Solid Generalist knowledge, particularly in Industrial Relations and Employee Relations.
  • Return to Work certification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or environment, preferably in Hospitality, Retail, or FMCG.
  • Sound stakeholder management capability, relationship building skills, and a solid understanding of Australian employment legislation trends and practices.
