Program Implementation and Change Communication Lead

The successful candidate will lead the delivery of change communication and engagement activities to support the implementation of a large capital works program. This role is responsible for managing communication and engagement activities, coordinating change messaging and communications, designing and implementing change communication activities, distributing internal transformation communications, identifying communication and engagement needs, providing coaching and capability uplift to workstreams, collaborating with the Media & Communications team, and offering trusted advice to the Director Change Management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to manage stakeholder expectations and engage key audiences in the program's objectives.
  • Design and deliver high-quality change communication materials, including internal and external publications, presentations, and social media content.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to workstream teams on communication best practices and facilitate their development of strategic communication plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address communication and engagement needs, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Offer strategic advice to senior leadership on communication matters, informing decision-making and driving business outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in leading change communication and engagement initiatives in a complex public sector environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write quickly and accurately, as well as think strategically and manage risk effectively.
  • Ability to design and produce engaging content for digital services and social media channels, and publish content effectively in these channels.
  • Strong understanding of change management methodologies, project management principles, and business integration processes and strategies.
