This permanent full-time role, based in Brisbane, oversees the multi-billion-dollar Queensland Rail Capital Plan and contributes to the delivery of a single integrated transport network. As Manager (Rail Capital), you\'ll manage the Rail Transport Service Contract (Rail TSC), lead a high-performing team, and provide expert advice to senior executives and the Minister. Your work will impact infrastructure investment, service delivery, and strategic planning across Southeast Queensland\'s passenger rail network. Responsibilities- Program management including annual program development activities and program oversight of the multi-billion-dollar Queensland Rail capital investment program (Capital Plan), and Infrastructure Services, under the Rail TSC.
- Consult, collaborate, and negotiate with internal and external agencies and represent the department at forums related to the Rail TSC and the Capital Plan.
- Provide advice to senior executives and the Minister, including preparing periodic Capital Plan and related program and/or project reports, briefing notes and general correspondence.
- Proactively manage the resolution of issues, which may result in project variations or variations to the Rail TSC.
- Ability to guide and support teams, foster collaboration and manage resources effectively.
- Experience in managing contracts or programs, including planning, reporting or coordination.
- Collaboration across different teams, organisations or communities.
- Ability to deliver outcomes aligned with organisational objectives.
- Sound judgement and the ability to understand and respond to different perspectives and context.
