About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil and Mining Engineer to join our team at ClearCompany. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting our mining and civil services operations in the Hunter Valley region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake technical reviews and ensure the quality of project deliverables
  • Provide technical direction and leadership in the field
  • Develop plans and schedules to meet key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ongoing technical development of processes and practices within the organization
  • Ensure compliance to legislative requirements and site standards
  • Be flexible and adaptive in the execution of day-to-day duties
  • Present KPIs and other data to management and stakeholders on mining operation performance, activities, and performance metrics
  • Tender for new projects, including site optimization initiatives
  • Innovate and propose creative solutions using your knowledge and experience
  • Communicate, advise, and present confidently
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Civil/Mining Engineering degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years proven experience in a similar role
  • Experience with modern mine design and mine scheduling software
  • Exposure to civil earthworks design and construct on open-cut mine projects in Australia
  • Vulcan and/or Spry experience preferable
  • Ability to develop and run a program with high-level detailed planning
  • Strong attention to detail and technical excellence
  • Living within the Hunter Valley/Newcastle area or willing to relocate as required
